The University of Alabama football team placed 11 players on the Associated Pressā All-SEC team, five on the first team and six on the second team.
The five honored for the first team were: offensive lineman Jedrick Wills Jr., wide receiver DeVonta Smith, linebacker Anfernee Jennings, cornerback Trevon Diggs and safety Xavier McKinney. The second team honorees were: quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, running back Najee Harris, offensive lineman Alex Leatherwood, offensive lineman Landon Dickerson, wide receiver Jerry Jeudy and all-purpose player Jaylen Waddle.
Tagovailoa was behind first-teamer Joe Burrow, and Harris was behind Clyde Edwards-Helaire (LSU) and Kylin Hill (Mississippi State); Burrow and Edwards-Helaire were both unanimous selections. Waddle was behind Kentuckyās Lynn Bowden as an all-purpose player. The other first-team wide receiver, joining Smith but ahead of Jeudy, was LSUās third unanimous selection: JaāMarr Chase.
Auburn and Alabama had three players each on the first-team defense. Alabamaās 11 players named is the most of any school, beating out LSUās 10.
