šŸˆ Alabama commit Landon Collins' mother accuses Saban of violation

April Justin, the mother of Alabama football commitment Landon Collins who made headlines when she expressed her disapproval of her son's decision on live television, alleges in an interview that Alabama head coach Nick Saban offered a job to Collins' girlfriend, which would be an apparent NCAA violation.

Wow. Just wow. This woman... How low can you get. I realize he made a decision that wasn't the one you thought he should make, but there comes a time when you have to realize it isn't your decision to make and to just be proud of what your child has accomplished.

Me too Doemasters, if my mother was so controlling that she'd say stuff like
"His choice doesn't fit into Landon's or the family's long term goals. Landon has met all of his short term goals. I am so proud of him and the way he met those goals, but his choice does not meet his long term goals." then I'd be ready to get away from her too.

uhhh first she shows out on national TV, then she claims Coach Saban "stereotyped her" by talking about her sons chances of getting to the NFL instead of academics, and now this? just stop already.

I don't quite understand why a parent would do this to their child. I understand her not being happy about his college choice with her being an LSU fan, but in my opinion, you don't air this out in public like this. You do it in privacy.

You might want her to, and it seems like that is the logical thing to do, but she is faced with people continually bleeding this issue for every last drop.

Now, a woman from this website calling? I'm sure just the mission statement of the website alone is enough to spark interest from any athlete's mother.

She just needs to be proud and let it go. I try to put myself in that situation and the only thing I could do is to be happy for my son. To have a son that is gifted athletically is a blessing. (I will not lie, it would be hard for me to see my son play for lets say Auburn, but I would be happy for him.He would know I would still be all Bama and cheering for him alone on that Auburn team.)

If she thinks Saban stereotyping her to her son was going to be bad. Imagine how many people now think she's psychotic. I can count a few on this board and I'm sure there are plenty within the nation that saw that reaction on TV and have heard about her. This sounds to me like she won't even go to his games if he leaves her a ticket. She's like a wild animal backed into a corner, she is just lashing at anything she can to make her son do what she wants.

This is insane. My mom would never do this. No matter what. What do yall think the odds are of him signing to LSU. It isnt official until its on paper.

At this point, I think he'll sign with Bama actually. I don't think he wants to be near his mother anymore, especially after her embarrassing him like this. With 48 hours left...I think he's ours. If he was going to switch, he'd have done so a little while ago.

Landon is the missing element from her statements.
"LSU. GEAUX Tigers #1."
"[Saban] stereotyped me."
"[Saban] offer [Victoria] a job."

The trouble is that after shunning her son on his biggest day. Having an altercation with the girl he loves. Accusing his chosen Coach of cheating at the risk of impacting his years in college. After all that, how does she come to Tuscaloosa to see her son? That would have to be an uncomfortable visit. His team mates, his coaches, this classmates...who would not be predisposed to avoid her.

Quoting Luigenbill on a local radio show her in the big Salty this week. Never mind the quote, I'll paraphrase.

It would be the biggest shock of this signing class if Landon Collins does not sign with Bama. That is what the feminine hygiene product formerly known as Tom Luigenbill said this week. TIFWIW.
