1. Clemson won't win the ACC.

The Tigers are loaded at the skill positions. Cullen Harper is the best quarterback in the ACC. Tailbacks James Davis and C.J. Spiller are two of the best runners in the country. Aaron Kelly is the best pass-catcher in the league. But Clemson might start two or even three freshmen on the offensive line, which isn't a good thing, and its linebacker corps is very thin. Alabama will beat the Tigers in the Georgia Dome in the opener, and North Carolina or Wake Forest will win the ACC.

Finally ESPN says something nice about us!! :D

can we just skip a few weeks and make the game this weekend? :D

I've read both articles, and the one you list as "more informative" points out one thing. Clemson's left side of the line is young. As in, hardly any experience. Your tackle started the RT spot in the bowl game but that is a far, far cry from protecting the blind-side of the QB. Less than 100 snaps doesn't equate to experience with your LG.

We could break this down even further but here's the glaring point. While these guys did have experience last year the OL allowed 35 sacks and was considered a weak point of the team.

I don't see it as any better off than '07, in fact, worse.

they have been in the program...know the system...have some game experience

you are right in that they were considered a weak point of the team last season (we replaced four guys last year as well)

we had a QB play for us last season that didn't have hardly any game experience (he exceeded our expectations!)

the article gives the impression that these guys just took their SAT's last week and that is certainly not the case

will they be an all star crew on AUG 30?..of course not...

but will they will be fairly solid with a lot of upside as the season moves along?..you bet

the short passing game and screen game gives them some relief as well

there will be some missed assignments and mistakes...guaranteed...enough to lose the game...we will see

If you're talking about McElroy, he did better than I thought but the only game I remember him playing that good in was Western Carolina. I know you're trying to say that just because those OL for Clemson don't have any experience, doesn't mean they won't make an impact, like McElroy did for us. But we're not Western Carolina.

all i have to say is blitze the whole game. i want pressure on cullen harper all game. when Spillar has the ball i want red jerseys swarming at him before he takes one step! its all about defense! thats what the SEC is about!
