Nice writeup here giving both sides to the schedule debate.

They're two coaches living in the same conference but entirely different football universes.

Vanderbilt coach James Franklin, who is trying to change the perception of football at his university, met reporters in a lobby bar at the start of today's SEC spring meetings and a bystander asked who he was. Later, Alabama coach Nick Saban -- winner of three of the past four national championships -- was swarmed by the media as hotel guests shot pictures above from a balcony.

Also to add alot of reporters are obviously always hunting for "gotchas" and they love to see the downfall of the reigning force (which is Bama), if you look at human nature much like Saban and Bear teach their players is that everyone wants to be a winner, but no many want to take what it gets to get there, and its seems to the be the aim of the media to bring down the kingdom and promote the fall of it to bring the rise of a new kingdom as their fear dynasties will drive away viewers...then when the kingdom ends years later they compare this one to that one and celebrate how great it was...I remember the last year of Ronald Reagans presidency they media howded him as the "jelly bean president" and tried their best to make him look stupid and irrelevant, yet now they talk about him with admiration and respect...the media is always doing what the media does get an angle that causes commotion and contraversy...the great thing about CNS is he knows this and uses it to his advantage when needed
