...and this delves a bit into recruiting as well. As stated on the recruiting forum, one of the players I have no doubt about wearing Crimson is AJ McCarron. One thing about this upcoming class is the staff is looking at one more QB (along with AJ) IF that right player comes along.
What I had forgotten about until this morning while reading an interview with one of the recruits was the point that the Elite 11 QB camp is making a stop in Tuscaloosa this summer. Some of the names that come out of these camps are major players in the college football scenes. Jemarcus Russell, Matt Leinart, Carson Palmer, Tim Tebow and Jay Cutler are a few that come to mind.
What I find interesting about this is it's another opportunity for our staff to work individually with these players and evaluate them in person. This will be the only camp of this type in the SE (closest to T-town will be in Ft. Worth) so we'll be seeing the cream of the crop in T-town.
It's a 2 hour camp with QB's working on drills ranging from individual work all the way up to 3,5 and 7 step drop patterns with WR's.
It's going to be held Saturday, May 3rd, from 3-5PM.
