I know, we still have weakness in pass blocking. And Cristobal has gotten undue criticism on here because of it. When most of our issues there stem from mediocre (at times) communication, and youth and inexperience as a cohesive unit. Remember, we had to replace 3 starters up front.

Anytime an OL Coach can still produce a unit that paves the way for a Heisman Trophy winning, record destroying RB... in spite of errors and shortcomings, that's a pretty damn good coach.

Oh, and he won Recruiter of the Year also.

The Joe Moore committee also wins the award for the biggest trophy. Good lord, it will take the OL to move that thing.

Pretty cool though that Bama is the inaugural winner. The selection committee, assuming they stuck to the original plan, is about as representative as it could be including a rep from all 128 FBS offensive line coaching staffs, media members who played offensive line (example: Mark May) and a ā€œlegacy committee.ā€ That includes colleagues of Moore and players who were coached by him.

Am I that old or out of touch, when did sandals/flip flops and socks become a thing that wasn't laughed at.... other than when 300+ plus pound men starting doing it to dare you to laugh.

Alabama star Derrick Henry taking some important teammates out to dinner
Alabama running back Derrick Henry has picked up almost every trophy there is in college football this year. Now he’s picking up the check.

Wednesday, Alabama’s offensive line was awarded the inaugural Joe Moore award — and with it, the largest trophy you’ve ever seen. It was a figuratively and literally huge reminder of how important the unit was during Henry’s record-breaking, award-hoarding season.

And now, the linemen are receiving another prize — recognition from the man whose stellar season they enabled. And a free meal.

This being about the trophy I thought it should be put here. But man how is he paying for this?

I don't know if you are joking or what? But if not Please go up to him a tell him he's wrong! ;) By the way, I saw the other day where you can buy sock for you that wear flip flops. The toes are cut out, I guess you can call them leggier. upload_2015-12-16_22-58-17.jpeg
