I'm giving away my age here, but I told my kids this is the Alabama football I grew up with. I'm telling you to lose 1 or 2 back then was devastating. They finally get it now.

They're so excited and finally understand why Alabama is so big. Bless their hearts they've spent their days at Bryant-Denny being glad for a win against Arkansas State, Ole Miss, Miss. State, Vandy, anyone. I know 'cause I was right there with them. :wink: Oh, we'd scream, cheer and jump around with the best of them for the big games too, but the win just never happened in those.

I know #1 could all end this week or next or whenever. We've all suffered a lot of frustration and mocking over the past decade or so. Even with my super nervous game week personality I'm going to enjoy the heck out of this week.

I've sported and supported the Tide for my entire life...it's just a lot more fun doing it now.
