Alabama offers 6-foot-7 defensive end
Alabama has been proactive on the recruiting trail this Christmas Eve.

The Crimson Tide offered one of the top cornerbacks in Kristian Fulton on Thursday and rounded out the evening by offering Connor Murphy, a four-star defensive end from Arizona.

Murphy, a 6-foot-7 defensive end, is rated as the No. 16 weakside defensive end in this year’s recruiting class. He’s reported 10 offers, though Arizona State, Oregon, Michigan and Stanford are considered the favorites to land his signature.

Newly hired defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt and defensive line coach Bo Davis are his lead recruiters.

Murphy’s only official visit thus far has been to Oregon (Nov. 20).

No. 35 overall prospect in the country by ESPN, the No. 46 prospect by 247 Sports All three services have him rated as a four-star prospect and also consider him a top-five cornerback.
ONE Thing we have seen, never have too many DB's on campus. Would be nice to have this kid and get him in and rearrange 15 lbs into good muscle wt.

Connor Murphy Ht:6'7" Wt:255 lbs 40: 5.10 secs (Light for DL maybe a bit tall for LB, depending on his motor, he could be a force to deal with from a Jack position? But pretty slow seems to be a bit of a project and maybe not a 1yr or maybe 2nd yr contributor)

8 Alabama early enrollees begin classes, to partake in spring practice


Eight members of Alabama's recruiting class have enrolled early, have begun taking classes and will participate in the Tide's spring practice, which begins in March.

Those eight players: four-star junior college offensive tackle Charles Baldwin, three-star linebacker Christian Bell, three-star tight end Miller Forristall, four-star quarterback Jalen Hurts, three-star safety Shawn Jennings, four-star offensive guard Chris Owens, three-star wide receiver T.J. Simmons and five-star offensive tackle Jonah Williams.

Baldwin and Williams will be among the players in the mix to replace departing senior Dominick Jackson as Alabama's starting right tackle.

Hurts and some others took part in the Tide's practices in Tuscaloosa leading up to Alabama playing Clemson in the national championship game.
