I'm a little confused by your response.  The title of the post asks "Why can't Bryant Denny stadium be hard on opposing teams?". So, you then proceed to run the numbers on Legion Field and include them?

I didn't intend to rain on your negativity party. I was just trying to remind you of our great winning tradition at home and provide some consolation - especially given the dreary tone of your post. Whatever. I guess if you're looking hard enough for something to cry about you'll find it.

If you are indeed interested in Alabama's record in the state of Alabama (other than Auburn), then you should probably also include games played Montgomery, Mobile, and Birmingham before Legion Field was built. That'll knock the average down .759 which should make you feel better. Here is a breakdown going back to 1900:

Venue-------------------------------Won---Loss---Tie----Pct

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Birmingham Legion Field----------160-----52-----12----0.741

Bryant-Denny Tuscaloosa---------204-----41------3-----0.829

Birmingham (Pre-Legion Field)-----37-----25-----7-----0.587

Montgomery-------------------------20------4------2-----0.808

Mobile--------------------------------14-------7-----2-----0.652

Totals-------------------------------435-----129----26----0.759
