Any shocker that Coach Cochran would be walking around yelling "...where dreams go to die!" at lift, during practice, and in the hall way of the players dorms? He's intense.

My 94 yr old grandmother asked me about Coach Cochran. She said, "what's wrong with that one coach that is always jumping up and down holding his arms up?" I told her that is how he keeps the guys' intensity ramped up the whole game. Her response, "well, it looks like he was real cold and was trying to warm up. He looked crazy!" PRICELESS!!!!

"Death Valley is a tough place to play, especially when they got their crowd behind them, especially when they got a good defense," Alabama wide receiver Kevin Norwood said.

Scott Cochran didn't need any original content to motivate Crimson Tide players during a team lift session today.

He simply used a few from LSU coach Les Miles.

Multiple players said that the boisterous Alabama strength coach read Miles' recent take on LSU's "Death Valley," which he said "is truly a place where opponents' dreams go to die."

Running back Eddie Lacy said he didn't have much of a reaction to it.

"It's just words," he said. "You have to go out and play.

"You can talk and say whatever you want, but at the end of the day you have to play on the field, you know."

LSU is currently riding a program-record 22-game home winning streak. Under Miles, the Tigers are 36-1 in home night games.

Its only home loss at night came against Florida in 2009, when it fell, 13-3.

"They're going to have the crowd, they're going to have their energy going," Lacy said. "Just the stadium, especially when you play at night time. That's a different effect."

Wide receiver Kevin Norwood was a redshirt freshman who didn't see the field much when Alabama last played at LSU. He joked that he "didn't understand Les Miles," but had seen and heard enough about LSU's homefield advantage to respect it.

"Death Valley is a tough place to play, especially when they got their crowd behind them, especially when they got a good defense," Norwood said. "We’re just going to have to bring our A game and focus on what we got to do."

Linebacker C.J. Mosley said Alabama has to "block out the clutter" if it wants to be successful in such a hostile atmosphere.

"Some teams might go down there and just not have the right mindset or (be) ready to play and might let the crowd get to them or let the adversity get to them," he said. "But being where we are, we have to make sure we stay focused and block out all the clutter and just be ready for a physical game come Saturday."

"There are a lot of scars from that national championship game," LSU defensive tackle Bennie Logan said. "You will see it on the field. The loss in the national championship game had a big impact on us. Going into last season, we had set goals like winning the national championship. Bama took that from us. They took that national championship ring. We want to show the world that we have bounced back from that loss."
