| NEWS What's Behind the Sudden Negative Talk About Alabama Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa?-- BamaCentral

The story is it gets people to click/read it. Online news/websites' advertising rates are based on "readership" (which is really how frequently a site is clicked on).

He's on fire this year. If he keeps it up, I have no doubt he will win the Heismen.
I'm just glad to see that he has been able to concentrate on his passing game more so than his running game. Not that he is not a great runner, but he is less likely to get banged up, while being protected, in the pocket. I just want that 'protection' to keep up with the defenses he will face.

ROLL TIDE!

Agree.... "its the receivers ".....throwing for 5 yards and "it goes for 70"
Have heard some trying to play him down......
True..he has missed a few wide open opportunities.....
But 1 int....all those tds...team #1.....
But they are in love with Burrow right now....was Fromm....

YAC requires two things from the offense: a receiver with the speed to break away and a throw from the QB that allows them to do so. Throw behind the receiver or cause them to slow down to come to the ball and that YAC becomes < 5. Throw so they can catch it in stride and keep running and it grows exponentially.

No doubt #13 left some passing yards on the field last week but he was still great. JMO but that pick was due to #13 was going to throw the ball to #4 come hell or high water once they broke the huddle. #11 and #6 are getting some headlines and #4 is kind of cool right now . Hopefully #4 will not get a tude because others are reaching the endzone. Whether we like it or not this is about dollars to some of these players come draft day.

Agree 100%. I credit that to Sarkisian. Locksley was a great play caller last year, but holy crap Tua took too many unnecessary hits off of those designed runs.

Juedy made his pay day last year. Pedestrian numbers still make him a Top 10 pick. Like you said, hopefully he's smart enough to know that and not get an attitude. All three guys will hit 1,000 yards they stay healthy.

I'm not seeing that. His first read off the snap was to Ruggs (curl in,) looked him down for a second before switching to Waddle.

Looking at the video, Jeudy did look the most open of the three but the coverage from the other safety was hidden well. The 2nd option that would likely have been better decision was Waddle. Ruggs was covered.

What more could he possibly do? He's been near perfect.

The only thing I see hurting Tua is people are wrongly discounting how great he is based on the explosiveness of our receiving corps.

On the above video, looks to me like Tua did not have an open lane to fire the ball to 17.

It's one of those circular arguments we're hearing, again.

Last season he was going deep too often and not taking what the defense was giving him.
This year he doesn't have the ability to go deep and it's evidenced by the passes completed and YAC.

Perspective is ... a unique trait. I caught Pollack make an observation where he was giving Bama a B because "the running game isn't what I'm used to seeing." It's fun watching a narrative fitting as well as a narrative being fit.

Saw that BS also
But don't matter what Pollock thinks.
Heisman moments still await Tua, Hurts,Burrow and one will jump out and like Fromm others will fade
Better watch out for Wisconsin RB. He has a couple chances to steal the whole thing
And OSU QB he will have some opportunities

Off topic ... I believe we've discussed podcasts, at least briefly. I heard him say that ... just so happened to be on their podcast. I haven't watched that show live this year; rarely on the day of ... listened to two episodes on a ride this morning.
Watch cf live. Not to bad. Pollock isnt a bama hater I don't think. Says what he thinks. Contradicts him self often. Just a talking head
