šŸˆ What is your routine after losing?

For me, same as it is after winning. Watch other games and try and enjoy the day. Sure, at times after losses, my overall mood may not be as happy, but I certainly don’t wear the losses on my sleeve either. No other fan base this century or last (or my lifetime) can really compare to the highs and successes Bama has had. We are extraordinarily blessed to be UA fans. True 1%’ers. Yes, the bar is set high and should be. To lower it would be an insult to the history of the program. But I think fans, without realizing it, keep trying to raise it instead. Which IMO is unfair to the program, especially after is extremely evolution period that we’ve just witnessed the last 4-5 years.

All that to say, at Alabama, even post-Saban, IMO we have a top 5 football coach AND and top 5 basketball coach. We are in a really good spot even while the landscape changes under our feet. It’s a new era with more parity. But in the end, Bama is going to be standing with the winners more often than not.

It’s a game so once it’s over, I don’t worry about it. There is not one thing myself or anyone one of us on here can do to make a difference in the outcome. I watched a little of Georgia//Texas and Ole Miss/ Florida and this morning I am getting ready to leave and go to church in a little while. Back to work tomorrow and back on here from time to time throughout the week.

Fully agree with this. No idea how other fanbases can just be ok with who they are. As a Bama fan a loss against anyone is unacceptable as it should be. Even worse when it is due to our own miscues.... Probably the biggest difference at Bama is how the program response once the griping and complaining subsides. As a program they go back to work to get better.

On the original question, I shut off listening to much of the talking heads for awhile and stay away from all the opposing fan bases chatter because there always is a lot of it. They gloat because Bama lost and they love to see Bama lose.

The board's reason for being is to discuss all things Alabama, with emphasis on football. Posting on a classic thread (hat tip @alabama mike ) isn't not moving on.

One man's analysis is another's hysterical reaction.
I'm good with it all.

I'm saying out of one corner of my mouth I move on and out of the other corner I mention a game from '99. I clearly haven't moved on.

I've been thinking about this question. The only difference I can point to, this season, this weekend, is when I got to the "break" point with some work I didn't go to this weekend's highlight shows.

I didn’t have a routine per se for many years, but I’m starting to build one again. I vent in the GBU thread, swap texts with my brother, and ignore the incoming texts from my buddies of other fan bases. Then I go read through my Sunday school lesson and try to focus on that and what I will do Sunday afternoon. One good thing about losing so much the last 2 years is, said buddies text me less and less after we lose. It used to be a monumental celebration for them.

My wife paid me a compliment last night. She asked before bedtime if Bama had won or lost. I told her lost. She replied that she was surprised because she could normally tell a mile away when Bama loses by my demeanor after the game. Evidence that I am not taking it so serious as maybe I did in the past.

Yeah. Get older...get mellower ..... i guess.

But...i remember the losses more than the wins.... and that aint right

Its funny so many reactions....based on this forum post....
Some surprising...

But for this game...we been sitting on a sharp point for lot of season...the same guys making plays...just didnt this time....
still heck of a season...if we can complete it...
