Pretty sure a coach could find a way to play or not play depending on what they really want.  I tend to believe this is all about A&M trying to leave on a high note and take advantage of their good press.  Hope this backfires and the last press is their wimping out of the bowl game.  Also, kicks the NCAA butt into gear to close any loop holes in NIL.  These people will never learn if you are going to allow this Saban will find a way to do it better than anyone else.  I for one think this will backfire when the players get a whiff of the amounts paid to each and it comes with some entitlement that will impact their shall I say coachability.
