| FTBL The Maze Pose/ showboating

Very DJ "Hollywood" Hall-ish. Pissed me off  . Should of known better and act like we've been there before. Glad CNS outlined it in the post presser.

I'd like a picture of him running the stairs all week at BDS for that stupid stunt. :x

Glad, you ain't my coach.

Seriously, I didn't care for it either, but based on some of the other games I watched, his actions were no worse than what I saw others display, and those players didn't even draw penalties for their antics.

I've seen Knowshon Moreno run for 2 yards on a 1st and 10 play and do more posing than Maze did after his TD catch, and I've yet to see Moreno get flagged for it. I personally don't like players doing that, but IMO, there is NO WAY that Maze should have been flagged.

Wasn't that his First TD catch? If so I would of posed also. Ran the bleachers for Reger, and never do it again. :D

I'll second that, and the fact that it wasn't that big of a deal. Let the guys celebrate to a certain extent...

I'm in the "act like you've been there" crowd. Showboating is for people who require special attention. Being excited and celebrating with your teammates is one thing. To act like a ass, especially when you know you could be penalized, is unacceptable.

I'm still wondering how everyone gets away with this jumping body high five thing. The profiling to me is less than that crap. Throw the ball to the ref and move on to the next play.

Yeah Moreno does a lot of showboating after his TD's. Even during this weeks game against Vanderbilt he scored and went up to a camera and started "taunting" the camera guy. I guess it just depends on the ref. He still should have just given the ball back to the ref though.

None of these examples of other players from other teams showing out makes it right. You didn't see that from Julio when he scored his first TD. Hand the ball to the ref and go back to the bench like a man. I like Maze and I think he's going to be great. I just want him to remember that he's not wearing a Miami Hurricanes jersey.

I'm with you. You let your team down and hurt them when you do these things. Barry Sanders did it best. He always handed the ball to the ref and told him to hold this, I'll be back. It is great to be excited, but as awesome a talent as Maze is......I'm sure it won't be his last TD unless Saban breaks his kneecaps for getting out of line with the team concept, which the showboating clearly did.

Hmmmm, never saw it at the stadium.

It was right in front of you Johnson jumps up after his interception and gets a "delay of game" penalty.

RTR

Is that the reason they called delay of game on the sideline?! How friggin lame. I wondered what that was for.

These refs were a bit picky but not as bad as the "holding" crew we had against Kentucky. The refs played too big a part in that game than any ref crew this season.

I thought the ref crew from yesterday was picky but Maze should be more careful than that. I think he knows that by now though.

I don't like excessive celebration, but if I caught my first TD at Bama I would try a back flip. Some of these guys are living their dream playing for Alabama. Now if the guy does this everytime he scores I will agree. Truthfully, if I had ever donned that Crimson Jersey, it would be hard to hold back my emotions, ecspecially after a TD catch.

I hate showboating...

But I just watched the replay of the Maze penalty and it was bogus.

Seriously...I despise showboating. Showboating that was not.
