| FTBL The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs The Lane Train

Good: The defense, other than a handful of coverage busts, they played really well, as I expected they would (especially after Kiffin’s shot at Steele earlier this week). DL got better as the game went along, that was GREAT to see. Also, Jalen Hale has worked hard in practice and it’s paying off for him now… He’s going to be a weapon down the road. Also Part II, Burton’s catch. Also Part III, The OL played more on the same page today too.

Bad: Another terrible INT by Milroe. Was glad to see him put it behind him and go back out there and play really well the rest of the way, but man that was bad. Equally as bad, Steele on the 4th and 23 call late in the 4th… rushing 3? In that situation with how well the defense was playing? Terrible decision. Notice he played it differently on the next 4th down…

Ugly: Said this last year, but you can’t call yourself a physical football team and just snap your fingers and BE a physical football team. Lining up in shotgun, 1st and goal from the 1 after the fake punt was an absolute disaster that Bama deserved. It showed weakness, which should be inexcusable, and Bama paid the price for it. I did NOT think we’d see THIS offense in the gun in that situation this season. I hope we don’t see it again.

All in all, I'll take winning that game by 14, especially knowing it could have been by 28.

He was trying too hard for the TD! He had Burton's wide open. I think he could have scored!

Good... The Second Half & begrudge it or not, Milroe is improving. That's good. This defense is legit, especially not skipping a beat with Lawson going out.

Bad... Miloes INT & going into shotgun when it was 1st in goal where a QB sneak might get it done. Yes Milroe is improving but he needs quit these bonehead turnovers. Sheesh..

Ugly... Lawson's injury. The OL mailed it in after the first drive of the first half, then for the rest of the half. I was lamenting all during halftime how these guys are getting whipped & have no POWER or TOUGHNESS. Well Coach must of whipped some ass himself at half-time because they played MUCH better!

Good- DL affecting the QB, punter, McClellan, TE in pass game

Bad-Milroe decision making, WR downfield blocking

Ugly- Offense for the most part. We are so limited it’s easy for other team to make us look ugly.

Good- Milroe after the bad interception. OL play the 2nd half. Defense outside of a few busts.

Bad- unforced penalties. Ole Piss OL held on every damn snap and had what, 3 called all game!!!

Ugly- I’ll state the obvious! First and Goal from the 1 and we line up in the SHOTGUN!!! Tommy Rees should be fired straight into the damn sun IF he EVER does that stupid shit again!!! Like @Brandon Van de Graaff said, How can you call yourself a physical OL or team and then line up in shotgun from 3 damn FEET!!

I think he had pretty much decided he was throwing the ball there though... not sure if it would have mattered if he was wide ass open or had all 11 guys on him.
This is where he has to get better. You just simply can't do this as you know. Also hard for me to see on TV but we need some play calls that are easier and shorter throws to get Milroe into the rhythm. At times it seems like he needs to dump it down to the safety valve in the flat and move on. Just dump it down and take a positive gain.

Milroe is improving for sure and that is huge. The receivers also played well today. As a team, just keep getting better each game and somehow maybe they can still be standing at the end of the season. Lets take it one game at a time at this point. It would be easy to regress since consistency has not been Milroe or the teams strong point.

I know the coaches have been under fire, but what are your thoughts on Robert Bala? I get the feeling his unit is doing pretty solid right now.

Better than I anticipated, honestly. Feedback on him has been really good. Good teacher, which was really needed there. I think it's been easy to see the results with the players on the field, and the depth he's built.

Just saw the play again... I can see it now in QB room during film review...

Rees: Jalen, what did you see there?

Milroe: Well, I saw Burton open in the flat.

Rees: Why the hell didn't you throw it to him then!?

Milroe: I did, Coach.

i'm sorry.
