I saw an article on the first BCS poll this morning and one sentence sorta helped calmed down my post-Ole Miss jitters. It said that nobody, even Penn State, would catch Bama as long as we kept winning. *whew*

I was a little nervous that a one-loss team like USC could pass us if they kept hanging 69 on Slack 10 teams.

Texas Tech or Oklahoma State couldpossibly go past us, but if one does it must beat the other one, plus Texas to do so, which would still leave us sitting pretty.

Penn State is pretty good but they still haven't played anybody. They beat a Michigan team that had lost to Toledo the week before, I think we'll know a lot about Penn State after this week when they play Ohio State.[/quote]

if penn state stomps ohio state and we beat tenn like we did ole miss i'd be very very worried about getting jumped. Its not the computers you gotta worry about, it is the human polls. Basically we need to start playing football in the second half. We don't need to win as big as other teams but we need to clearly win , not hold on at the very end. Though my money(if i did that nosnense) would be on ohio state beating penn state after watching their improvements.

If Bama keeps winning, Texas is the only team that can out rank us in the end, and that would require them to keep winning as well.

In this scenario only Georgia or Florida would face us in the SEC CG. If it Georgia, then we beat the preseason #1 twice in their home state. If its Florida, then we be a recent National Champion, the defending Heisman trophy winner, and a top five team. And regardless of which team makes it, we did so going undefeated in the SEC.

No one will beat that, other that Texas doing the same in the Big 12 and holding on to #1 the entire time.

We control our destiny.

I haven't seen Oklahoma State play that much this year, but I would say they are going to be Texas' toughest opponent of the regular season.

Believe Oklahoma brings the best running game and defense that Texas will see all year, not that I'm saying Texas will lose.
