They will really see the students not show up for that time of day
I don’t have a link handy but the UA prez and AD raised hell about it, kinda.
So really wasnt a sec game opportunity for night game.
Sec network. They get last choice.....and may be hotter then ....Arky versus San Jose State at 6:30
I really don't know what to make of that article. UA officials are hand wringing over the heat? It's September in Alabama. They act like they have never had to deal with this before. Shoot, it may be blazing hot come November. The south doesn't really cool down until around January
About five years ago, maybe a little longer, LSU complained to the SEC offices about their games being in the daytime. The SEC caved and LSU gets all these games at night now.I really don't know what to make of that article. UA officials are hand wringing over the heat? It's September in Alabama. This is also a by-product of the championship games and moving to a 12 game schedule. In another thread we talked about the 1989 team being honored this past weekend. Their first game was 9/16.Then again, in past seasons, while it's been hot in September, it was probably manageable, to some extent. This September there have been excessive heat warnings on game days. I didn't think about that. This year, the intense heat from June, July, and August has stayed in place, where in years past, while it was hot in September, it was more like high 80's-low 90's. This year, it's more into the upper 90's, something that would be seen in July or August. October may not be much better.
