i think the ejection rules need to be changed regarding how long players would miss playing time.
currently, if you get ejected in the 1st half, you're out the rest of that game and can readily play in the next game. if you get ejected in the 2nd half, you're out the rest of that game and you have to sit out the 1st half of the next game.
but i think they should go to a system based on actual time. if you get ejected in the 1st quarter with 5 minutes left in that quarter, then you sit the rest of that game and the first 10 minutes of the next game. that way, you sit an entire game. no ifs, ands, or buts. get ejected with 3 minutes left in the game? then you get to sit out the next game until there's only 3 minutes left in THAT game.
in the current system, a player can be ejected with mere seconds left in the 2nd quarter and only have to sit out half of a game.
and yes, i realize that some BAMA players would be affected by this....and i'm fine with that. across-the-board fairness is good for me, no matter who it impacts.
don't do stupid things and you won't get ejected
