Just thought it would be interesting to post ur takeaways from CF for week 4... my 5..
Bullett statement only:
.....uga looks like the old bama...
......pac 12 in trouble if Utah is theirbest
......AU defense is pretty damn good
......Tennessee and Pruitt are toast
......Tua and skilled players are men vs boys
..... could add many more but 5 that jump out
Care to add witbout a dissertation

In response to a few of your comments.

Tennessee fans need will forget they've been shit for a decade+. They expect a coach to come in and turn things around overnight. It isn't that easy.
Auburn has the best wins, but unclear at this point what Texas A&M / Oregon are.

I didn't really watch any football yesterday, was exploring Montana.

Its ur forum. You can change ruled. Lol
The first thing that comes to mind is UGA and Bama of old.

I still see a UGA team being a UGA team. I can easily seen losses to Mizzou, Florida, and Auburn. They always derp one up against a team they shouldn't.

How many Bama teams of old can you say that about? It's not a long list of losses over the last decade ... but how many can we honestly say, "Bama derped that one up" in the same light?

Watching the game last night I was thinking the same. Keep game close by playing clean fundamental football and keep wearing them down. Tight defense gets even tighter in the 2nd half. Forget trying to run the ball. Eventually the opponent wears down.

With that said they are still UG so if their DNA shows up they will drop one they should not.

Well. Bama did lose to AnM and Ms at home. And MS away. You could say they "derped" those.
I was think more the QB was game manager. Great har RBs. And play great D

A&M loss was all Johnny. There's a reason he won the Heisman. It was a loss, but not a lot different than any other loss when a team if facing a dynamic quarterback (who did get lucky a few times with his backyard style of play.)

Ole Miss? Are you talking about the game with passes bouncing off of players heads and resulting in touchdowns? I'll give that game the "weird" label, but have a hard time reaching "derp."

Agreed on Fromm and their RB's. However ...

I'm about three quarters through that game now and at times I've seen some nice stuff out of there defense. At times.

But, let's put this in context. Ian Book is a good football player but he's far from being a great football player. Good running, average at best passing the ball. One dimensional comes close for a description because it's an offense that's Ian Book, and then what?

From what I've seen so far UGA hasn't found the skin they are comfortable wearing right now. Is it that "mark on the back" that causes the team to shrink away when times get rough and tough? I don't think so because we've seen it over the last three years on multiple occasions.

Now, what are we left with? The impressions fed to others by some in the media and the UGA fans who are in the same media? IE: The best offensive line in football? I think so.

I still have seen no evidence to lead me to think they can get through a season without that derp. In fact, I'll go as far as saying "it's ingrained."

If the barn QB gets better then AU will beat the Dawgs in Shug's place. If the officials allow the barn to continue their scheme of holding the receivers from the snap then they can hinder our passing scheme as well. They mugged the A&M receiver for the most part.

Tamu has zero running game. Barn defense looked good against them as all they had to defend was Mond with a couple of decent receivers. Easy job for them. When barn is forced to throw more, they are in trouble. Uga will do that to them most likely. Uga beats barn with Fromm having a great day.

Nix will drag Gus along with him as he goes.....the kid is going to be a goodun….
It's interesting you think Nix will drag Gus along when we just saw an established QB with Stidham and also saw Gus drag him along ... on a downward spiral.

In the end, you may be right. It's a guessing game with QB's. It's a strong statement considering there's zero evidence/no examples to back up a QB developing under Gus.

How much of this are you basing off of what you've heard (that conflicts what he's actually done?) His numbers as a frosh look bad compared to others this year and in years past. Hell, our non-passing QB (JH) completed more passes than he's doing right now as well as having better numbers across the board.

Ok...here we go Terry.....i am having a beer after a long bike ride today....just imagining u sitting and having one also...if your school work is com0lete...
......gus development of QB......ah...Cam ....I know he was OC but thats his role at present also....so...Cam....so.....
Took a mediocre QB...and went to NC game....i know about the miracles,....but still...
What has bo done...QBed AU to 2 top 20 wins,.... wasnt all him..but give boy credit...he was QB and team leader.......and true freshman

Cam was at Auburn one season. His development came at Florida (two seasons) and there was his time at Blinn as well. Three years outside of Auburn, one year there ... doesn't make development. It's far from it. And let's not forget, that offense was basically six or seven plays with Cam's athletic ability doing his thing.

And Bo? Look. When your head coach is calling four of his sugar huddles, a Statue of LIberty play, and a double reverse in the first quarter? It means one thing: you don't have a passing game. He's barely over 50% completions. He's at 5:2 on TD to INT. His head coach, this "development guy" we're speaking of, calls plays like he's on a Playstation.

But, his wins, you say? Luck is the only reason that last TD wasn't intercepted against Oregon. It was a horrible pass terribly underthrown. A&M might be a top 20 win today as Oregon might be in the future...but both teams aren't what their ranking would indicate in past years. A&M is going to drop four, maybe five this season.

Before the game I called for an Auburn win over A&M. But that's because A&M isn't all that they're portrayed to be. (And neither is Jimbo, but now we're rehashing a thread from several months ago.)

Theres many games ahead that will tell the tale

Terry...I have been hating the barn before you were born and I want them to shit the bed in anything and everything they do. If you have watched the Nix kid then you can see he has the it factor ahead of him. He is no Nick Marshall as far as running but he is more than athletic enough to make big plays with his feet and that is a problem.

I wish Bama had someone to challenge and take the spots on defense of #5 and #21 I liked what I saw of #92,#47,and #58 on defense. Unless he is hurt the #90 Wynn has been passed with these other young defensive lineman.

Oh and I still like #27 running that ball. He his the hole (where one should have been anyway) quicker than any of the others.

I attribute a lot of Cam/Gus' success to timing. Not QB/Receiver, but as in, the HUNH/RPO was in the beginning stages of prevalence. The defenses had to catch up to the speed. Remember the big Nose Guards we had to plug up the middle? Mt Cody and Jessie Williams.....when was the last time we had someone like that in the middle? Saban said it over and over, we have to have guys that can play in space. I see this similar to Spurrier in the early 90's with the fun and gun. He didn't have near the success from 97 on that he had from 90-96. Defenses caught up to him. I think the new has worn off Gus offense and another thing that has helped was adding the center official to help with the linemen being >3 yards down field. If college would follow suit of the NFL and make it 1 yard, we would move college back to a more traditional football.
