...when I think about this game tomorrow. Not worried, excited but far from anxious.

I don't feel like I'm taking a thing away, mentally, with what Clemson is going to field tomorrow night. I started getting close to this feeling back in 2002 for a few games that season until we got into the last 3-4 games in the season.

But, this is so eerily a "Stallingesque" attitude I have today it's almost a type of confidence I'm more anxious about experiencing than the game itself.

Heck, I almost feel like I could write the post-game commentary today.

I believe Coach Saban will have us all in this feeling shortly. With his style of coaching and his ability to bring talent to the school he is coaching, you cannot help but sit back and believe that he has a plan and his plan is already in motion.
Just adding the talent we have added this year makes Alabama a better team for 3-4 years.
That within itself is a confidence builder.

It reminds me a little of Coach Bryant and how you just knew we were gonna be good every year.

I AM SO READY FOR ALABAMA FOOTBALL!!!!

Post game commentary =

'BAMA WINS

or

CLEMSON LOSES

I like to keep it simple, short, and sweet.

As for that feeling you have, you nailed it, it is confidence. A word used to express an emotion that many have not felt in quite a while in regards to the Tide.

It is nice to once again start to sense a little confidence creeping back into the psyche of 'Bama fans.

OK Terry you brought it up. So lets see it. nothing going on today we are all anxious so go for it. Do a post game comentary with stats and all. Most of us respect your opinion and would enjoy it. I know I certainly would.

Here's the problem NTT.

Despite being over a decade removed from Coach Stallings years, that much older but definitely not that much wiser, I've yet to master the art of being able to work and think about football at the same time.

Consider, I live in South Carolina. Consider, looking down the hall outside my office I see a few doors with Clemson stuff on them. Not to mention hearing the Gamecock fans crowing today about their game last night despite reminding them they accomplished the same thing a 6-7 Maryland team did last year.

so is that like a no. Only with more words.

LMAO!!

I'm still of the opinion the total points scored will be over 50, still believe Bama comes out on top.

I'm beginning to really believe it may be in double digits as in 10-14 point win.

JPW with around 35 pass attempts completing between 20-25 of them.

Running game, between our three featured backs, 125-150 yards. Passing, around 250-275. Figure as a team we'll get 400-425 yards on offense.

Clemson...less than 200 yards rushing, more along the lines of 150 like our guys. Passing results for Harper around 50% with 2 INT's.

Butterflies here! The type of butterflies that I experienced when I was a teenager and my girlfriends dad said he was gonna run to the store and be back in an hour!

ROLL TIDE!!!

Hell I will take a post game commentary on that as well. :p

I want to know where Sandra is and her famous gut.

She has to be on an airplane somewhere because it is the day before a game and she is not posting. I know she will be there tomorrow, but she must be flying in from somewhere. If she feels as though she is about to vomit just thinking about the game, then we're golden. :D

I am much calmer this year than in previous seasons. For me, it’s not that I am that confident we will win tomorrow, but rather a contentment that we are moving in the right direction. I don’t expect a National or Conference title this year, but I know are moving toward being a top 5 team in 2010 and 2011 and maybe beyond.

This was a confidence I lacked in previous seasons only because I could not see any kind of true plan for success being implemented. Every season I wondered how 8 new freshman DBs were going to help us improve from the previous season. This year I see what the plan is. We are improving team discipline, getting bigger on both lines, getting faster, and improving our conditioning. The next two seasons, in my mind anyway, are mainly teaching tools for a lot of the young guys. 2010 when McClain will be a senior, Julio, Harris, Hightower, and Ingram will be Juniors, and Star or AJ will be a second year starter so it should be a great season. For now, I’m just gonna sit back, relax, and enjoying watching those guys develop.

...and the rush of adrenaline you felt when he came back after 5 minutes looking for the wallet he forgot... :)

I would compare that adrenaline to winning the NC. :)
