Over the last 48 hours there's been indications that Michael Divinity (SR, starting OLB) has had another case of "issues." It's been suggested that he's failed another drug test but I've yet to see any official confirmation. I have doubts we will.

This morning the staff from LSU's 247 site are reporting they don't expect him to play this weekend. It's framed like this:

"I don't expect him to play this weekend because of what we've heard several times this year - a coach's decision"

Their sack leader has 3 sacks? Thatā€™s what an ESPN article says.

LSU has 20 total sacks and Bama has 19.

For LSU, Divinity had 3, 4 others have 2 each, and 7 guys have 1.

For Bama, Lewis has 6, Jennings has 4, Lee has 3, and 4 others have 1 each.

That seems to not add up but those are the unassisted numbers. Assisted ones are listed separately. Each team had 2 assisted sacks (4 guys getting 1/2 each).

Sorry, I was being sarcastic. My point was, thatā€™s not many to lead the team through 8 games. They are deeper with sacks spread among a bunch of guys. But 3 seemed a small number for the team lead.
You also have to take into account the games he's played in. I've heard from BR people that he was already serving a suspension which pulled him out of a few games this season. The games he didn't play in? Georgia Southern, Northwestern State, and Utah State.

One other thing that has to be taken into account here. His role is similar, heck may be identical in a sense, to that of Evans when he was in Tuscaloosa. He's been outside but has also slid inside when their MLB was catching a breath.
