Stan Lee, co-creator of Marvel Comics, dead at 95

My grandson love trying to find him in the movies. RIP Stan Lee.

CALIFORNIA — Stan Lee, the co-creator of Marvel Comics, died Monday, according to multiple reports. He was 95.

TMZ broke news of Lee’s death, citing his daughter, J.C. Lee. He suffered several illnesses in the past year, and was taken from his Hollywood Hills home to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for unknown reasons.
Lee was declared dead Monday at the Los Angeles hospital, Kirk Schenck, an attorney for Lee’s daughter, told the Associated Press.
Stan Lee was born in Manhattan in 1922, and began his 75-plus-year career in comics when he was a teenager, according to Marvel, which he created with Jack Kirby in 1961.
The AP writes that as the top writer at Marvel Comics and later as its publisher, Lee revived the industry in the 1960s by offering the costumes and action craved by younger readers while insisting on sophisticated plots, college-level dialogue, satire, science fiction, even philosophy.
Lee is also recognizable to many because of his cameos in Marvel movies.
The Marvel legend’s final years were filled with strife, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Joan, his wife of 69 years, died last year. Lee was also involved in multiple business-related lawsuits, and the subject of a Los Angeles Police Department investigation into alleged elder abuse against him.
Lee is survived by daughter.
