It's not to keep fans from rushing the field, it's to sorta guide and keep a clean path for the visiting team to get off the field and to their locker room quickly and easily.

You have to have won at least 100 games and have a winning percentage of at least 60 percent. He's won 213 and sits at 61.7 percent.

200 wins is impressive, although a good number were NAIA, the winning percentage, not so much.

In typical Fran fashion, he liked to take credit for LaDanian Tomlinson. Fran did utilize him and show case him, but many folks forget that Pat Sullivan recruited LT and played his freshman year under Sullivan.

If memory serves me correct. Lee Roy Jordan recommended him to the powers that be at UA.

Sometimes I feel bad for Fran. I know that puts me in a very small minority and it certainly doesn’t excuse his actions. But I think the perceived immense pressure he felt and his insecurity caused him to derail. I’d imagine he has regrets.
