[/b]Let's look at who they have played before we annoint them the greatest team this year.
Keep in mind you are only required 6 wins to get to a bowl game, or is it you stack up easy competition early knowing you might have only two tough games. They pollsters and ESPN will pump you up so much, once you beat on the weak that you are almost guaranteed a top 5 before long....
Oklahoma-
Beat Chattanooga at OK
Beat Cincinatti at OK
Beat Washington at Washington
Beat TCU at OK
Beat Baylor at Baylor
By the looks of this, looks like 4 cupcakes and one maybe legit team in TCU, jury is still out. Washington is down, compare them to Arkansas, Mississippi State, Baylor or Texas A&M. Mostly home games, a trend....
Texas-
Beat Florida Atlantic at TX
Beat UTEP at UTEP
Beat Rice at TX
Beat Arkansas at TX
Beat Colorado at CO.
By the looks of this 4 cupcakes and one maybe legit team, Colorado, again this legit team lost to Florida State and will struggle to make a bowl. Mostly home games, a trend...
Missouri-
Beat Illinois in St. Louis Miss.
Beat SE Missouri State at Mizz.
Beat Nevada at Mizz.
Beat Buffalo at Mizz.
Beat Neb. at Nebraska
By the looks of this 4 cupcakes and one maybe decent team, Illinois, but they are the 4th or 5th best in the Big 10, and the perception is what of the Big 10. Mostly home games, a trend....
LSU-
Beat Appalachian St. at LSU
Beat North Texas at LSU
Beat Auburn at Auburn
Beat Mississippi State at LSU
By the looks of this 2 cupcakes, the worst team in the SEC and the worst offense in the SEC (ask Tuberville). Not as impressive as the geniouses will make it out to be. Again, where is a legit road game....and don't tell me an Auburn team that can't pass or run period...
Alabama...a great win at Georgia, but the only team they have played. Come on Clemson is overrated, Kentucky who did they play, Tulane Western Kentucky and Arkansas need I say more...
Just wanting to compare. Now you can look at USC's schedule and say the same, maybe not....
USC-
Beat Virginia at Virginia
Beat Ohio State at USC
Lost to Oregon State at Oregon State
Beat Oregon at USC
One cupcake, Virginia, one should not have lost OSU, but did not see a return visit from any SEC team playing Oregon State in the past (maybe because it is tougher to play there, but they would never admit it), one Top 15 team that will be Top 10 before long (missing Beanie, give you that, but also not a midget like Rodgers so easier to find if he played), one team that will be Top 25 before the end of season if they can develop their 3rd string QB.
Just wondering what the braintrust from the board thinks....nothing matters if SC doesn't win out. Let's hope for Notre Dame to keep winning and Ohio State and Arizona and Cal.
