⚾ 🥎 🥎 2026 SEC Tourney: Alabama Falls to Texas, 7-1, in SEC Tournament Championship Game

Looks like rain in the Lexington area over the next few days.
Around 5'ish ET the largest chance was 20% from 2 PM through the evening.

Any idea how many are on the 'travel team' for the Tide? It was just mentioned Mizzou brought 45 to Lexington.

Seems like a sparse* crowd with UK on deck in an hour and a half.

Bama doesn't use all 25 roster spots, but they all travel.
Staff. The color commentator in game one today quoted Anderson saying they brought that many this season. The commentator went on to mention that was up from around 20 in her day.

IE: She mentioned a few from their training staff that made the trip; for one game.

There's probably 20X more attending the early game today than the one UK played in yesterday.
20X may be a bit of an exaggeration. 🙃

This isn't. There were seven people behind home plate yesterday from the centerfield camera's view. Today I counted at least 21. Out of the seven, I only saw one with UK gear.

Dont know how ticks are divided among teams. But....regardless....you would think home teams would fill stadium.
They've seen their home team play. UK only won one conferece game this season: 1-23.

The SEC reported 1999 in attendance. Maybe if that's the sum for all three games, if they counted some people for every game. 1999 would be getting into SRO seating and there's NO way they reached that number. John Cropp seats just under 2000 (1917 is what I believe I read) and then it's SRO.

Fun with numbers ... RTB edition.

But still
The SEC reported 1854 for game we were talking about yesterday. There are no attendance numbers that I've seen for the UT game (easiest travel for fans) though they (SEC) do list the night cap at 1942. This has to be tickets sold which brings us to the bigger issue, in my view.

It was a bad decision to have Lexington as a host city. IF they aren't even selling out the tickets available? I'd dare say the numbers would be drastically different if the tourney was in Norman, Gainesville, or Baton Rouge.
