| FTBL Shaun Alexander cut by Seahawks

Im afraid Shuan is past his playing (significant) days.

RBs at 30 and above in NFL are few and far between

he can still go. injuries and a horrible line hurt his last two years. hopefully he'll get on with a team that can contend (even if he has to share duty). ive been sayin for years id rather Shaun be somewhere else other than up there (preferably back down south).

You're only as good as who's blocking for you. Once Shaun's big guys left, he declined.

That's why the games are won in the trenches with the hog mollies. LT can't even run without any blocking.

...Barry Sanders could. But, he's kind of a big deal.

Class, he's pure class, from reading his statements about the team and the fans.

I bet that signing TJ Duckett and Julius Jones is going to really pay off for the 'hawks!

Who is this......this Barry Sanders you speak of?

Blasphemy !! that is like not knowing who Earl Campbell is or Walter Payton lol

I know you know btw...

For Shaun's sake, I hope he gets picked up by somebody like the Pats or Colts.

For completely selfish reasons, I'd love to see the Saints pick him up. That way he will have played for my favorite College team and NFL team.

Pats are interested in him from what I hear. I really hope they pick him up there. Would be a good offense/organization for him to be in.

The rumors are that both Indy and New England are interested in Shaun.

is Deuce gonna be able to come back? cause there is no way Reggie Bush's fragile self is gonna be able to handle 300+ carries a year.

For some reason I do not want him going to Indy...maybe its Indys homefield?I really do not like domes.

Someone will pick him up. He's obviously not an every down back anymore, but his tank certainly isn't empty. I hear New England and Indy are both interested in him. New England seems to be where old players go to become young again, who knows.

I will say that I think Shaun handled the news very well. His letter to the team and the fans was very, very classy. I'll admit I admired him when he was in college but grew to hate him after his complaints regarding carries/bonus money. I think he handled this like a true professional. Kudos

I had the fortunate chance to meet Shaun while he visited our high school football team up in Huntsville. He basically talked about character, helping the community, etc. Loved the visit and it showed alot of character on his part. Sad to see the run of bad luck he's had the past couple of years but maybe the change of teams will give him the boost he needs for one last run.
