Someone asked about this a month or so ago. @BamaFan334 was it you?

I recall reading about schools in the SEC two, maybe three years ago and at the time there were four that contributed money back to the academic side: LSU, UGA, UF, and Bama. LSU announces they won't be doing so any longer.



Sleeping pods, new facilities, library fund raising through GoFundMe, and other stories have circulated around Baton Rouge these last few months. Here's another they're trying to push that I find misleading.



At face value it's true. But let's remember, it was a facility improvement that sparked a lot of this conversation and that's not included in those numbers. It's a benefit, right?

Yep, that was me.

I see both sides of this one. Football makes the money, football keeps the money. College football is only around because of college academics. So one would think sustaining the academic side and providing multiple oppirtunities for success would make sense too. Especially considering the small percentage that succeed professionalky in football.
