| FTBL Scenarios: How Florida (and every team but Kentucky) can still win the SEC East

Florida's gotten off to a bad start against some of the better teams in the SEC, adding an 0-2 record against ranked SEC teams to a 3-0 record against Tennessee, Kentucky, and Arkansas for a 3-2 conference mark that leaves the Gators staring up at Missouri and South Carolina in the division.

But thanks in large part to South Carolina's dramatic overtime win at Missouri on Saturday night, the Gators — and most of the rest of the SEC East's teams — still have paths to Atlanta available to them.

Here's the remaining schedule for all seven SEC East teams, with the SEC contests in bold.

And let's run down scenarios for each team.

I'm glad someone took the time to break this down.

I still think it's UofSC in ATL.

farfetched it is....

how excited are we about facing a Mizzou team in the SECCG?

Not. At. All.

I had my smoke lit by mid-way through the first quarter Saturday and only glanced at the TV occasionally during the broadcast.

If we face Mizzou in the SECCG? I'll likely be doing the same...watching the game casually.

Hmmmm... I wont even guess what Terry had packed in his "cigars"... :icon_cheers:

Reading that, it really looks like SC is in the driver’s seat at this point. I can see Mizzou losing to aTm and Ole Miss and SC winning outright, to be honest. That gives CBS exactly what they want, Clowney and Spurrier in the SEC championship game.

wow you're right. i just looked at the two schedules and SC can easily win out with a decent game against fla. mizzou likely drops another one.

so how do we feel about USCe in the SECCG?

While I knew this I didn't really put it together until just a few minutes ago in a conversation with a friend of mine.

Did you know...

Out of the seven teams in the eastern division there's only one who hasn't lost their starting QB to injury leaving one of their back-ups to start this season?

We're left with assumptions that the SEC is down this season. Is that more due to the conference being decimated by injury?
