As Rolling Stone first reported, nominees for the Hall's next class include Nine Inch Nails, N.W.A, the Smiths, Deep Purple, Janet Jackson, Chic, Steve Miller, Chicago, Chaka Khan, the Spinners, Cheap Trick, the Cars, the J.B.'s, Los Lobos and Yes.

I don't know why the Moody Blues aren't in the hall of fame. Janet Jackson? Give me a break.

Hey, bww! What? What have you done for us lately, huh? :what::) I agree. That crap isn't rock and roll. And The Smiths? Not exactly what I would call rock, either. I liked them okay back in the 80s; now I feel like a lot of others did about Morrissey...He sings like a whiny 80-year-old woman.
 
Dated girl in HS that liked grexing when The Smiths were playing. I wore that PHONOGRAPH (yes, I'm old) out summer of 84.
