While I've never been a fan of televangelists, Rev. Billy Graham (think he's always been included by default) was always the exception to the rule because unlike all the others, he was actually genuine and sincere. Heaven is rejoicing that Rev. Graham has come home (great is his reward indeed!), and while he's been off the grid for quite a while, I think a lot of us are a lot sadder that he's not here with us any more. Clearly, sir, you've done your share. Rest in peace.

I'm not a believer, and I dislike televangelists, but Billy was an amazing dude.

Fought against segregation, wouldn’t preach unless the whites and blacks sat with each other during his revivals, a good friend and supporter of MLK, the Queen and other notable people.

During a 1953 rally in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Graham tore down the ropes that organizers had erected to separate the audience into racial sections. He recounted in his memoirs that he told two ushers to leave the barriers down "or you can go on and have the revival without me." He warned a white audience, "we have been proud and thought we were better than any other race, any other people. Ladies and gentlemen, we are going to stumble into hell because of our pride."

An inspiration for what Christians should be.
