If Tech wins and we're #1...we can't really "help it"...'ya know? We just need to take care of our biz.
HOWEVER...
If we are #1, we don't have to worry about getting jumped if we win out. This whole, "Penn Sate is gonna jump 'Bama" stuff will be over. If we are #1 we have a nice gap in respect to playing for the title game.
I mean, to get to the title game we gotta win out anyway; might as well have a "buffer" to play with.
In respect to the topic, I see holes all over the Texas defense, so even if they come back to beat Tech...I see holes.

Texas' defense cannot stay in zone and expect to win this game. They are going to have to man up or lose.

Rolltide 1980- I agree with you, but what i am saying is; we have seen a lot of teams get up to play the "#1" team in the country, and going into Baton Rouge is going to be tough as it is, let alone with a bullseye of #1 on us.
19-0. Texas may be toast. I don't believe they can stop Tech from running, much less passing.

I have this feeling Tech will lead by 4 TD's at the half, then lose by 7 in the end. Their defense is not as good as it looks, and I doubt they can keep it up.

My biggest concern for the Red Raiders is special teams. They cannot score 3 and give up a TD on a return.
TT torched Oklahoma like this last year. OK never seemed to be able to get out of that haze of "what just happened."
