Did Davis coach the off. line at USC during the 03-04 seasons? The reason that I am asking this is b/c if that's true, then this could be an even better hire for Bama than I thought. Having someone who has had 1 BCS championship in 04 and a AP title in 03 would help us out even more in the recruiting aspect. RTR

Yes, he did. It makes the hire very interesting to me.

Yes, he did. It makes the hire very interesting to me.

Someone with those credentials isn't hired on to the staff just to be in charge of player personel.
I certainly don't want to speculate but it looks like something's there. Something positive.

Bobby Williams took over Middletons position as Tight Ends/Special Teams coach


Jim McElwain took over Applewhites position as Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach

Tim Davis took over Geoff Collins position as Alabama director of player personnel. He also has some OL coaching experience.

Kirby Smart is DC

Kevin Steele is Associate Head Coach/Head Defensive Coach

Look for Tim Davis to become the defacto O-line coach as Pendry gets back to the NFL.
