Not that you need a different way to enjoy local, fresh tomatoes but my wife found this and it's worth a try.
3 large tomatoes
1 tablespoon chicken or beef bouillon granules.
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon butter
Cut the tomatoes in half or as we did, cut off the core end.
Place the tomatoes cut side up in a baking dish coated with cooking spray.
Sprinkle the bouillon, then the parmesan cheese and finally a dab of butter on each half of tomato.
It took more granules, parmesan cheese and butter than the recipe called for so be liberal with it and cover the tomato with the granules and cheese.
Bake uncovered at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Enjoy while warm.
For those watching their calories, only 54 calories per tomato.
