Rumor has it that if Phil Fulmer is fired as the coach of the Tennessee Volunteers, George Bush is likely to appoint him as the new Director of FEMA.

Seems that the President was very impressed with the coach's ability to evacuate over 100,000 people in just under an hour this weekend at Neyland Stadium.

I talked to a couple of Vol fans about that game. He said it looked like the Hebrews leaving Egypt at halftime. I didn't miss the opportunity to tell him what swell fans they were.

I'm lovin the Vols' struggles right now...most of my friends who pull for the Vols won't even speak about their team right now. But before the season started they were all talking smack to me about how good they were going to be, and when I'd tell them that I thought BAMA would be improved they thought I was crazy.

I'm seeing a lot more BAMA gear being sported around the Nashville area now-a-days too.

Ha Ha. Speaking of Bama gear in Nashville, I went up there in March and took my wife to the Hard Rock cafe there on the strip. Well, I wore my Bama shirt that has Bear Bryant standing in the tower and it says The Bear is Looking Down. And on the back, it says, and He still Hates Tennessee. You wouldn't beleive the dirty looks I was getting in Music City that day. lol. Anyway, when we walked into the Hard Rock, our waiter read my shirt and said I had some huge balls to wear it out in town like that. A few other people made small comments about it too. So I told them, Hey, this is Vandy country. The shirt ain't talking about the state, it's talking about the Vols. I left Nashville with alot of Vandy friends that day. :D :D . By the way, I LLLOOOVVVEEE wearing that shirt to the Smokies. :D

I was at a Dave Barnes concert at the Horseshoe Saloon (I think?) and sported a Bama shirt. The guy at the door asked if "we" were going to win tomorrow. Took me a minute to figure out he meant Alabama...
