The problem with that is, the players are often times the ones that feel the brunt of the booing.  Booing a bad call by an official is one thing, but booing the performance of the players is inexcusable.  There were times when Shula was booed (for playcalling), but the players felt as if they were the ones that were being booed.  90% of the time, they can't tell who it is directed at... especially if it comes AFTER a play.


I don't mind fans booing players in pro sports, though it still isn't my thing (in terms of booing my own team)...  but I jut can't fathom booing a college athlete based on his performance.  Nothing good comes from that.  Of course, I won't even leave my seat during a loss (or 90% of the wins) until the clock hits 0:00 either.  I'm weird that way.
