Caveat: We all know these rankings mean little when it comes to seedings for the WCWS. But it is interesting considering Bama is going for the sweep against a top 10 Florida team tonight.

UCLA, Florida State and Virginia Tech all suffered two losses this past weekend.

Latest RPI:

1 Bama
2 Oklahoma
3 Virginia Tech
4 Florida State
5 UCLA
6 Northwestern
7 Duke
8 Oklahoma State
9 Tennessee
10 Florida

** OU has only played three teams in the top 25 of the RPI. But, there's no discounting their 36-0 record with over 30 of those wins being run rule wins (over 20 shutouts.)

That's what OU does every year. They play in a weak Big 12 conference and usually breeze through a non-competitive out of conference schedule and then are physically and mentally ready for the regionals and supers. They played 2 SEC teams this year Tennessee and Kentucky. They were able to defeat Kentucky 9-1 but they had to go extra innings, 10, to get by Tennessee 9-8. These were only single games. it would be interesting to see how OU would do in a 3 games series with Alabama, Arkansas, Florida or any other top SEC team.

No doubt when it comes to their schedule.

They, nor has anyone else, have ever started a season at 36-0. While I'm not a fan of Gasso what they're doing this season is impressive.

We talked about this briefly before the season started. Will they meet a pitching staff in the post season that's able to limit their run production? 🤷‍♂️
