Tim, I live about 9 miles away from the property but have two other brothers and two nephews who all live within a ¼ mile of the old homeplace.

One of the nephews told me several years ago if I ever wanted to sell, he’d buy it. So that’s probably what I’ll do with it.

I sold the trailer last week and it was moved this week so that problem is gone. As far as other “partners” I put padlocks on all the doors because I didn’t know who had access to the house. So far, no problems. None of the rest of the family knew what was going on.

My dad asked me when he “didn’t need the house no longer” to let Gary move in it and I did to honor dad’s request. Joshua, my attorney son strongly advised me not to do it because of exactly what happened. Before Gary moved out of the trailer and into the house, I asked him not to do anything on the property that mom or dad wouldn’t approve. We shook hands and I thought sealed the deal.

But Joshua was right and I found out I was wrong.
