This idea of having to move fast to 'save this recruiting class' has always confused me.Yes, one recruiting class can be important - critical even, see our class from last year.But, the right hire can result in a coach being at your school for ten-to-fifteen-to-twenty years. It is always better to take your time, even if you void one year of prospects, if necessary to hire the right guy for the long haul.Now, taking your time and losing a year of recruits and THEN hiring the wrong guy... Oh, brother.
