I too am shocked at the Southern Miss decision. I think it's true to say that S. Miss wasn't moving forward in it's progress, but they weren't moving backward either.To me, this says that all the programs in major college football believe they need to have a winner. Some schools have delusional expectations of success based on no previous evidence of it.Ole Miss and S. Miss are great examples. For that matter, GaTech hasn't been truly competitive on a national scale since 1990 or so.Heck, I guess the same could maybe be said for us. :roll:
