| FTBL Met Barry Krauss last night

I'll post a picture at some point. :)

I'm telling you it has been a good week. First I meet Rece Davis and now Barry Krauss. 8) I have no recollection of my barner husband at this point.

Barry is a great speaker if you haven't heard him. He has a knack for telling stories. He has a ton of them from Coach Bryant.

He picks us to win today (seriously). But then he later talked about the problem with this team is the lack of winning attitude/winning culture that Saban is re-building. He isn't a rah-rah type, so much of what he said I took at face value.

I sure hope he is right about today.

It's something worth taking at face value. It's a part of the problem.

I noticed Cecil picked Bama to win as well. That pick elicited a "hhmmmm."

I probably said it the wrong way. Barry wasn't trying to "dress-up" the situation @ UA right now. He went into specifics of team attitude and lack of winning culture as of late. I don't think he was trying to knock Shula (as he is pretty close to the Shula's). I think he only states the obvious.

He really thinks we win tonight despite all that though.

I think Cecil picked us "just because". It's a rivalry that is usually won by the favorite, but it has been such a wild year.

Of course JessN picks Auburn. In the next decade surely there will come a time when he is wrong on our favor. Hope it's tonight!

I understood what you were saying.

As to Cecil, that's just not his character. And, ole' Jess has been wrong the last two weeks in a row. But, then again, so has Cecil.

Terry, I'm waiting for the day when JessN is wrong and it's in our favor. I realize he has been wrong a few times, but those times are when he has picked Alabama to win and we ended up losing.

Since I've been reading his predictions I don't think he has ever picked the other team, and we ended up winning.

Florida, '05 was the last one I remember. There have been a few, but not many. He knows his football and looks at the games very objectively.

Krauss is a nice guy, Sandra. My grandson and I met him at the Bryant Museum last A-Day. He really took on over Andrew as it was his first time on the Alabama campus. Then, when I showed Andrew a pic of The Goal Line Stand and explained who Barry was, my grandson said, "Awesome!"
