To me the offensive scheme was very bland but effective which is exactly what I want for the first game because:

1st. The offense sets the tone by saying 'We are gonna beat you like a drum, nothing fancy'.

2nd. We are not showing too much to our future opponents other than 'If we want, we are gonna beat you like a drum, nothing fancy'.

3rd. We are simply going to keep doing what works. No need to be flashy & tip our hand. No need to reinvent the wheel when it is already rolling & picking up speed.

4th. This 'Bowl Like Game' atmosphere provides the excellent experience this team needs. We stuck to the plan & the players executed to perfection (when was the last time you could say that?).

5th. Everybody played their part & seemed to like it.

Coach Mac followed the KISS rule & it worked great!
