Reading about this place all summer long. And I just join up. But I found out my sound is broking and got to find out what is going.

My best guess is your ISP. Depending on where I am at the time makes a difference. Today, I was wireless with a place that runs DSL. Paused on occasion...when I'm wireless with a cable feed no problems. When I'm directed connected to DSL no problems as well...

So I missed the show today?

It was a pretty good one today. The Clemson writers interview was very telling...if their team and their staff have the same outlook on Bama they are in for a long, long evening in ATL.

He said a few things I just didn't understand, at all. They were just "out there" when it came to a logical look at the game.

I can't say I remember ever seeing you on the show Chris...weekdays, 12-2 CST.

So he thought we had a solid team, but he was still a Clemson homer?

I stop by when I hear there is a show, I just usually find out too late. I registered earlier this month and I chatted during one show. Hate I missed it though, I'll have to check out the video.

Just a few of his "nuggets."

He expects Alabama to open up a lead early, and then fold as Clemson roars back when their OL gets used to playing our D.

The challenge they'll face with our defense is the line stunting. Nothing else mentioned.

Our offense consist of two players, JPW and Terry Grant. Seriously, he didn't mention another player. He figures if they stop Grant, the game is theirs.

The guy publishes a magazine and has done a game preview of Bama, according to what he said. (I haven't seen the mag)

I mentioned to Step and Stevon not to mention Julio or any of our WR's during the interview just to see if he brought them, any of them, up in the conversation. Not a single mention of our WR's, other RB's, TE's...

I hope and pray their team, specifically the coaching staff, have as much insight on Bama as this guy has. He mentioned since he attends all the practices and talks to all the coaches that he has a good feel of what their team will field this year.

Let's pray he's right. IF he is, it's Bama vs UT in '07 repeated in ATL. In fact, it may be as bad as Bama vs UF in '05.

Then again, the guy may just not know a darn thing about Alabama. Well, now that I've typed that...he doesn't know a darn thing about Bama.

Having lived in the Upstate of SC for the past few years, I can tell you that Roy Philpot does not know much about Bama. He was hosting a morning sports talk show last year and his knowledge of the SEC and Bama are very limited. One of the guys that the show used for insight into the SEC was Neal McCready. Do I need to say any more. He definitely is a Clemson homer.

Terry you said he only mentioned JPW and Terry Grant and no mention of the WR's or TE's I guess no mention of the OL either. Hmmmm I wonder if he even knows that Grant may not even be the starting RB come game 1. If all the indications I am getting from you and others Gleen Coffee might have something to say about who is the #1 back not to mention a guy named Mark Ingram. I also hope they have been scouting Washington as our NT and never give Mt. Cody a second glance.

Well I'm with you on that, I hope Clemson is as clueless as he seemed to be. I don't think he's the only fan from a school that is underestimating our WRs though. A lot of SEC fans are quick to say the WR core is a weakness for us this year, man are they in for a surprise.

If we were to have that type of game, Clemson might actually run Tommy out mid-season.

TP, you are right on everything you said, but Fill Pot or whatever his name is, did mention Julio Jones, but in a passive kind of way.

He obviously doesn't have great resources on what's going on at the Capstone.

I love that our opponents don't know anyone for sure besides John Parker Wilson, Caldwell, Smitty, Terry Grant, Javier Arenas and Rashad Johnson. That will make the shock factor that much greater.

Heck, I even knew info on every player he brought up on his team. He even mentioned Jamie Harper, who has missed several practices with a sprained ankle. And we know how long it takes those injuries to fully heal--ask Javier!!!

One of the fellas asked him what do they have, in terms of depth, behind the guys he mentioned and he didn't know. He even went as far as to say if starting QB Cullen Harper goes down, it's over.

Did you notice he didn't mention any of his defensive players outside of Bowers?

He obviously is hoping that the offense will put up enough points to where it won't rest on his defenses' shoulders.

Thankfully, we have depth at every position, even if it is the inexperienced variety, we still have confidence in them stepping up to the plate!!!

RTR!!!

Beat Dem Taters!!!!

True. He mentioned Julio when Step asked him to tell Tommy to stay our of Alabama when it came to recruiting. He (Philpot) mentioned Antoine McClain and finished that off with "we'll never be able to come in and get a Julio Jones."

It had nothing to do with the game, it was the interview closing down and was a joking kind of exit on recruiting.
