On this date, in 1944, the United States armed forces took part in the largest seaborne invasion in the history of the world. On that day, more than 160,000 troops landed on the beaches of Normandy, France.
And I'd just like to send out a ginormous THANK YOU to the brave souls that were part of that enormous undertaking that lead to the eventual defeat of nazi germany.
