It appears that he has a great chance of getting qualified. This is very good news, because BAMA needs his depth at FB. If he does qualify, he will almost certainly play as a true freshman.

if nothing else, we need him on special teams. saban has repeatedly said that LB/FB-type bodies are important on a roster, and we presently lack enough of these players to field an effective special teams. if he doesn't get any reps on the field at FB we can be certain he'll be on special teams.
