JaMarcus Russell, Waking Up

I know how some of you might feel about him, I'm not gonna get into that. I've always been a fan of his as he's always gone outta his way to help out a family member of mine in Slidell who had some health issues (not direct family, thru marriage). Because of this, I'll always look at him differently than most folks do.

The odds are certainly stacked against him, count me as one who wishes him luck.

My Mom was one of his middle school teachers in Mobile. I didn't know that until a couple years ago...

I would like to see him continue to get his act together. It's always disappointing when athletes like him with so much potential fall short.
