| FTBL Jalen Milroe and Terrion Arnold announced last night that all Crimson Tide players can now use their name and number with LANK to generate NIL revenue

f the LANK and NIL sits well with you, you can click on this link and order whatever with your favorite Bama player's name and number on it. Not a fan of NIL, but this or the autographs both Bond and Milroe signed are a much lesser poison from NIL than is just paying kids millions like so many other schools do just to get them to sign on the dotted line.

(I have it on Jeremiah's name; click on the menu to the left to get a different player.)

So do they have to pay Alabama for trademark deals when using their likness or does the university forego all that for its athletes.

Good question. The only thing I see in the links is that all this fits inside the "NIL space." Does that mean there's a preset trademark fee in that space? No idea, but it seems like schools would ask for that.

It's one part of the way the NIL is set up (continually.) I don't know the details. I do know it's part of the same program where every players on the team gets paid the same amount: what they make from building their brand? The sky is the limit; earn it.
