I personally can't speak for anyone here so I'll only give my take on this.  I have a two sons, 7 and 3.  Neither of them have ever seen BDS(aside from tv).  I can barely get my 7 year old to sit through a highschool game so I'm not even going to try the Bama games yet. There are three main reasons that I won't take them to a Bama game, and they are in order.

1.  If I try to drag them out into a game like atmosphere where they will get either hot, cold and tired they are going to get ill.  I won't make my kids be miserable when it can be prevented.

2.  If my kids are miserable in public, I'm miserable.  If I'm is miserable and can't watch the game, I'm going to be pissed.  I don't have a problem with dusting my kids off a bit when they need it(regularly), but I'm not going to punish them for pissing me off when I already know they aren't going to enjoy something.

3.  It's not fair to people around me to be burdened by my kids because they are crying, running around and just being disruptive.  Trust me, if my kids are bothering you, they are bothering me even more.

My family is very tight-knit so I don't ever have a problem letting my kids stay with my dad for a weekend every now and again.  With that said, my 7 year old begged me to play football this year and is a week away from the jamboree game.  I thought he would hate practicing in the heat with pads on but I was wrong.  If he still enjoys it as much at the end of the season as he does now, I may take him to the Miss St game this year.  We shall see.  Make no mistake though....if I take him and he starts acting up, we will be watching the game from the ramp, after I go "ramp-lady" on him.
