To me, Tubby's #1 problem is that he buckles under the pressure of fans and boosters and fires too many assistant coaches. If Noel Mazzone and John Lovett were still there they would be a lot better off right now. Even if it meant that Tubbs would have been fired already and was coaching a team other than Auburn, if he still had his guys with him, he would probably be coaching a better team right now than the one he has currently.
