I think this pretty much nails the issue here... We are just not used to seeing so many missed tackles by a CNS program.  Missed tackles are due to lack focus on technique either due to lack of contact/practice (COVID-19 is showing here), being out of position thus trying to get after the ball carrier, & fatigue...

Kiffin was going put our defense in positions to be out of position.  He's just that good. But he has nothing to do with practice reps & fatigue.

How much of this is the impacts of no spring practice due to COVID-19?  Its hard to say but since we still have a hang over from last year & there are defenses doing well this year this makes me suspect as to it all being about COVID-19.

However, I have real confidence in CNS... this defensive game just became "$hit through a tin horn II" & nobody is going to drive that point home more to his defense than him.  Also, I do expect these guys to get full speed game shape. Lastly, I keep saying this, we need to do a better job of substituting against these high powered offenses.  This refreshes players, gives more depth, slows down the offense, gives the DB's some time to catch their breath too, & it will give our defensive leader D Moses more time to assess & communicate.  It is totally unacceptable if there is ANY time these high speed offenses substitute & we aren't. PERIOD.  This happened several times Saturday & we even had a penalty for too many players on the field during substitution (that is a coaching issue).  And CNS was pretty ticked off about it.  I think this will be something he will force his staff to get this crap fixed.
