0, and not because the dadgum yankess ain't gonna let'em.

0, because of Brandon Gibson, Mike McCoy, Burton Scott, Melvin Ray, Destin Hood, Devonta Bolton, Chris Jackson, Earl Alexander and Mark Ingram running the ball. There is no way with the amount of talent we have at WR that Julio Jones will ever produce enough catches in one year to win the Heisman. He is very good and COULD win, but I don't see it happening with the talent he's going to have surrounding him. JMO.

I honestly don't care whether a Bama player ever wins the Heisman. I've had this conversation a number of times w/ barners where they try to diminish the National Championships we have by asking how many Heisman trophy winners Bama has had. My response is always simple: the Heisman is an award for individual achievement - football is a team sport - teams win National Championships.

Exactly! A better question would be; how many NC will Bama win while JJ is at Bama.

I just know that it takes a lot of politics to get a player the Heisman. I want one for JJ or Star Jackson or any of the players that are in the running. Wouldn't it be great to win the MNC and the Heisman the same year?

Couldn't agree with you more.

Actually you can make the same arguement he will win one because of them. They are so good that they can't double team Julio, and Julio + No Double Team = Domination.

But in all seriousness, I don't expect to see a WR win it in a long time anyway.

Well said.

Besides, I don't like placing some of these crazy/unrealistic expectations on a kid, all it does is set him up for criticism when he doesn't do it.

What's the M stand for? Many National Championships?

Exactly the kind of thread that makes me go...

I can't believe we agree again Reger. Some you members need to slow your damn roll and be thankful that we've a great class and show some class.

Untill these KIDS play which is what they are KIDS then posting stuff like this just kinda goofy no offense, it's just the way I see it.

"Instead of ha ha in your face we got the #1 class blah blah".

Ok I might be a little "delusional". I was part of the 92+ at BDS for the A Day game. But I want you to remember that it was not too long ago that Tim Tebow was signing with Florida and look at him now. I am sorry if I am alone in wanting the Heisman for a young man who, if he can keep improving and gives it his best can make it there. My point is that with the talent that CNS is bringing in and I doubt that this will be the last star filled class we will see, does the University have a advocate for these players to lobby the Dowtown Athletic Club should one of them maybe one day make it back on the ballot? If someone wins it every year why not one of our guys?

Ramma like I said bro nothing personal. Giving the facts about the "Heisman" I could careless if not one player from Bama gets it. I much rather have NC, SEC title , and beat barn. Those are much more important to me than some award.

I agree CNS is doing a great job bringing in players, but they havn't hit the field yet, and you're talking about the Heisman. Lets just "TCB" on the field the rest will work itself out.

RTR you're just pumped understandable! What did the fullback say one time when he came off the sideline to make a tackle "I guess, I'm just too full of Bama" lol!
